“While it would be convenient to think that shareholders have all the answers, I believe - and have supporting empirical data to back it up - and agree with the recent statement from Business Roundtable that the actions of companies should benefit all constituents." Kylie Wright-Ford
BOSTON (PRWEB) November 12, 2019
Kylie Wright-Ford, CEO of Reputation Institute and an authority on the emotional bond that drives support of organizations, will address executives on how business can be a force for good at “Power of Purpose,” an event hosted by The Atlantic, November 19 in New York City.
Wright-Ford will be speaking alongside Scott Goodson, CEO and Founder at StrawberryFrog, to introduce results from the first-of-its-kind Purpose Power Index™, a breakthrough study developed by StrawberryFrog and Reputation Institute, measuring how consumers think and feel about brand purpose and how that impacts organizations.
In addition to Wright-Ford and Goodson, the event will feature speakers from brands including Nestle Waters of North America, Walmart, Lyft, Talbots, TOMS and WWE, among others.
“While it would be convenient to think that shareholders have all the answers, I believe - and have supporting empirical data to back it up - and agree with the recent statement from Business Roundtable that the actions of companies should benefit all constituents: shareholders, as well as customers, employees, suppliers and the communities in which they operate,” Wright-Ford said. “At the upcoming event, I will be sharing some of the ways businesses can unlock the power of purpose in 2020 and beyond.”
Last August, Business Roundtable released a new statement on the “Purpose of a Corporation.” The statement, which was signed by 181 CEOs, sets a new benchmark for corporate responsibility.
“Companies are measured by more than just stock price and shareholder value. Increasingly, they’re measured by their values. From employee support to community outreach, the bottom line may have changed,” reads a statement from the event’s website, powerofpurpose.theatlantic.com.
In addition to her role as chief executive at Reputation Institute, a global technology-driven provider of reputation measurement and management services, Wright-Ford is a frequent guest lecturer, speaker, and moderator experienced in leading conversations with business leaders. She is also the co-author of “The Leadership Mind Switch: Rethinking How We Lead in the World of Work,” a field guide to managing and leading and a provocative overview of the fourth industrial revolution.
The “Power of Purpose” will be held on Tuesday, November 19, at Union West, 547 West 28th Street, NY, NY, 10001 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. ET. Anyone interested in attending could register by visiting http://powerofpurpose.theatlantic.com. #AtlanticCSR
