BearCom Alerts Retailers to the Benefits of Equipping Temporary Employees with Two-Way Radios
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) February 18, 2014 -- BearCom, a nationwide provider of wireless communications equipment and solutions, today issued an alert to retailers on the benefits of equipping temporary workers with two-way radios. It said the holiday shopping season should remind retailers just how much support temporary employees need, and how two-way radios can help those staffers, their colleagues, and their companies be more successful.
“In retailing, December can make or break the entire year,” said Hugh Johnston, Product & Purchasing Manager at BearCom. “During the holidays, plenty of retailers are heavily dependent on seasonal workers, many of whom have little experience, limited product knowledge, and no familiarity with store operations. These workers need lots of support from their managers and colleagues to deliver the level of service customers expect, and two-way radios are the right tool for getting them that support.”
Johnston, who recently wrote an article on the applications of two-way radios in retailing for TodaysWirelessWorld.com, listed four ways radio communications benefit retailers and consumers: faster inventory checking, instantaneous feedback, faster checkouts, and improved loss prevention.
Johnston said retailers should look for two-way radios that are easy to learn and simple to use. He strongly recommended the Motorola CLS1110 and CLS1410, as well as with the Motorola CLP Series, which includes the CLP1010, CLP1040, and CLP1060.
The CLS Series two-way radios from Motorola Solutions are simple, rugged, and reliable, with intuitive controls that are easy to use. They are versatile, so they can fit any workplace, any budget, and any style. The Motorola CLS1110 and Motorola CLS1410 are very affordable and don’t require the use of a speaker-microphone.
The Motorola CLP Series radios are smaller and lighter still, and they include an earpiece that offers more discreet communications. Because the Motorola CLP1010, Motorola CLP1040, and Motorola CLP1060 include only the essential elements, they are very easy to use. Detachable faceplates can be branded with company colors or logos, and they can be integrated with repeaters to improve range.
Johnston said, “Retail organizations considering investing in two-way radios often ask about the return on that investment. They should know that if a radio can help a minimum-wage employee save just five minutes an hour, that employee’s CLS or CLP radio will pay for itself in just six to eight weeks.”
