MONROE, Ohio (PRWEB) May 02, 2014 -- Mount Pleasant Retirement Village's Health Care Center is recognized as one of the nation's best in "U.S. News & World Report's" Best Nursing Homes of 2014.
The Health Care Center earned an overall five-star rating.
Health inspections, nurse staffing and quality of care determined each center's ranking in the sixth annual report.
The Health Care Center is part of Mount Pleasant Retirement Village, 225 Britton Ln., Monroe, Ohio, a continuing care retirement community that has served southwest Ohio since 1953. The 100-acre campus offers independent and assisted living, rehabilitation and skilled nursing care, plus in-home care.
U.S. News ranked more than 15,000 nursing homes for the study; only 21 percent of Ohio's homes received the same five-star rating as The Health Care Center.
"Mount Pleasant's mission is to provide older adults with caring, quality services. This five-star ranking shows our commitment to that mission," Executive Director Stan Kappers says. "I'm proud to support the team members who help make our health care center one of the nation's best."
