The Mississippi Symphony Orchestra (MSO) is the largest professional performing arts organization in the state, performing for more than 75,000 Mississippians each year at more than 120 concerts statewide. MSO supports three youth orchestras and an education program for more than 500 school children who receive daily instruction in violin, viola and cello. Founded in 1944, the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra is today the predominant performing arts ensemble in the state.

Retriever of Jackson and other community businesses support the MSO with cash donations which support the MSO’s many programs, including musicians, concert series and educational programs.

“We are proud to support the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra,” said Cliff Torrence, Founder, President and CEO of Retriever of Jackson. “The MSO brings the gift of music to Mississippi, and they create opportunities for our young musicians to follow their musical dreams.”

MSO also collaborates with some of Mississippi's performing ensembles and soloists. MSO performs regularly in Canton, Vicksburg, Columbus, Greenville, Greenwood, Laurel, Pascagoula, McComb, Oxford, Grenada and Amory.

The Mississippi Symphony Orchestra will hold its Bravo Four concert at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 22 at Christ United Methodist Church, 6000 Old Canton Road. The concert will feature MSO Principal Clarinet Ken Graves presenting Mozart's Clarinet Concerto between Rimsky-Korsakov's orchestral showpiece Capriccio Espagnol and Serge Prokofiev's powerful Symphony No. 5.
