ReUseIt Raises Over $400,000 for Local Nonprofits So Far in 2014 and Expands Unique Fundraising and Recycling Program into Texas
Roseville, CA (PRWEB) July 31, 2014 -- ReUseIt LLC, a family owned business headquartered in Roseville, CA, officially launched in September 2011. Although the company is just under three years old, the ReUseIt owners and leadership team have over forty three years of experience and are recognized as industry leaders in the clothing & household recycling industry. ReUseIt is a professional commercial fundraising company dedicated to making a difference in the local community through its unique clothing and household items recycling programs. ReUseIt works directly with local nonprofit organizations to help raise much-needed funding for their programs and services by offering the local community convenient ways to de-clutter and clean out closets to help the environment and support their local community.
ReUseIt’s first local nonprofit partner, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Sacramento Area, has been in partnership with ReUseIt since 2011 and has received over $300,000 in funding from this partnership to date. Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Sacramento Area is grateful for the tremendous on-going support of the community and has used the much-needed money to help local children reach their potential through one-to-one relationships with mentors. Since 2011, ReUseIt has added several nonprofit partners in Northern California, New Mexico and most recently in the State of Texas. These on-going partnerships include Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the North Bay, The Arc San Francisco, Las Trampas, The Arc of New Mexico and most recently The Arc of Texas.
In addition, ReUseIt is currently piloting a secondary fundraising program in the greater Sacramento Area. This new fundraising program enables additional local nonprofit organizations and schools to raise awareness and funding through ReUseIt’s unique clothing and household donation programs. Local schools and nonprofit organizations have the opportunity to work with ReUseIt by hosting a special clothing & household items donation drive, sponsoring a clothing donation box or bringing a mobile clothing donation trailer to a specific location for a limited time special event. The local school or nonprofit partners promotes the donation drive, drop box or mobile donation trailer to their members, supporters and local community and ReUseIt pays the local nonprofit organization or school by the pound for the donations collected. This type of locally-based fundraising is welcomed by parents and families as nobody is required to purchase items, write checks or volunteer hours of work, they simply clean out a close (or two) and make a difference locally. ReUseIt proudly claims that these recycling fundraising opportunities are a WIN/WIN/WIN for the local community and are “Easy a Pie and Better Than a Bake Sale”!
Donated items that are accepted include usable clothing, shoes, jewelry, belts, purses, backpacks, bedding and linens, housewares, hardware, toys, sporting goods, small appliances and some furniture. All donations are tax deductible and receipts are provided.
