EarnTheNecklace.com, Where Young Women Dish on Dating Older Men, Weighs in on Survey Revealing Most Desirable Traits in Singles in 2014
West Palm Beach, FL (PRWEB) January 16, 2014 -- EarnTheNecklace.com, a revealing and engaging web site with articles written by women who exchange their stories and confessions about being in a relationship with a much older man, is weighing in on a recent online survey that reveals the most desirable traits single people look for.
A recent survey of 81,000 online daters on the web site Plenty of Fish revealed which traits men and women find the most desirable in 2014. In an effort to find out which traits attract the opposite sex, the site looked at profiles of heterosexual American users aged 25 to 35 and 1.8 million of their messages. “According to the web site, this study confirms that male and female attractions follow traditional gender roles—and by that, they mean men place the most importance on age and body size, while women are most attracted to men with high incomes,” says Bianca-Marie Coventry, EarnTheNecklace.com’s content manager. “Women looking to settle down want smart men who are financially stable, while men want to find a smart, young, fit woman.”
Compared to the average user of the site, women aged 25 and 26 receive 14.4% more messages, while women who don’t drink get 24% fewer messages. Not surprisingly, women who describe themselves as “thin” receive 41% more messages than the average user. Overall, the “ideal” woman on the site is thin, 25 years old, has a post-secondary degree, owns a dog, and is a social drinker. The “ideal” man, on the other hand, has a doctorate degree, brown hair, an athletic build, and makes between $100,000 and $150,000 a year.
Coventry explains that when it comes to dating, the so-called average American has no problem saying they want their partner to be attractive, smart, and fit. They are also most attracted to particular hair and eye colors, and a large number of women are not ashamed to say they want their partner to make a lot of money.
“What’s interesting is that outside of age preferences, the dating profile for likes and dislikes of a sugar baby and sugar daddy are no different than those of the average American. Unfortunately, far too many people judge the sugar daddy/sugar baby relationship because they believe it is rooted in something shallow, such as age, appearance, and income, when the fact of the matter is, sugar babies and sugar daddies want what everybody does: to find someone they are compatible with,” Coventry notes. “Further, this study shows that successful relationships work when people find someone they are compatible with, regardless of age.”
