Revised Poetry Collection Addresses Bullying through Nature Poems
Ronald L. Oliver announces publication of 'If Dirt Could Talk'
CALI, Colombia, Aug. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ronald L. Oliver shares a revised edition of poems and illustrations that expressively explore the world of nature and its creatures in his new book "If Dirt Could Talk: A Collection of Verses" (published by Lulu).
In this second edition, the author focuses on addressing the needs of bullying victims directly. Oliver suggests that one way to manage the pain and confusion caused by harassment is by listening to the stories that nature tells, and gleaning their understandings and examples. The poems and accompanying illustrations feature ducks in ponds, squirrels in trees, and birds and butterflies in the air.
"I believe (my book) is most relevant as harassment is almost daily a part of our lives for many people these days. This has been true in the past and will likely still hold sway in the future," Oliver says, adding that he wants readers to take from his work "a smile away, or at least some measure of contentment, and a calmness inside and out."
