Cowlin Insurance Agency Launches Charity Campaign to Help Local School Children Learn About Technology through Nonprofit Tech Corps
Reynoldsburg, OH (PRWEB) June 08, 2016 -- Cowlin Insurance Agency’s new community involvement program serving families of the greater Reynoldsburg and Sunbury, OH area, has teamed up with Columbus-based Tech Corps to bring technology literacy to school children of all ages. Donations to this worthy cause are now being accepted at: http://theciateam.com/Connecting-Technology-Learning-and-the-Community_15_community_cause.
Tech Corps was founded in 1995 as a way to help ensure kids K-12 and their teachers have equal access to technology programs, skills and resources which will enhance learning and properly prepare students for college and future global careers. Tech Corps recruits and deploys tech-savvy volunteer talent to advise and assist schools and youth-serving nonprofits in the integration of new technologies. They also work to build program partnerships with and between educational, business, government and community resources, thereby creating a pipeline of support which stretches throughout student careers. This pipeline ultimately produces young adults with the skills and networks needed to assume leadership positions in our evolving technology-driven society.
“We think Tech Corps is a great fit for our new community involvement program,” said Chris Cowlin, owner of Cowlin Insurance Agency. “After all, if we don’t nurture and educate our kids to compete in an increasingly technology-based world, where will we be in 20 years? We see this as another way to strengthen our community.”
The agency’s caring team is hard at work promoting the campaign through social media and other avenues, even featuring Tech Corps in their monthly electronic and print magazine. Our Hometown magazine, which is delivered to thousands of households in Reynoldsburg, Sunbury, and surrounding communities, reserves a full page to showcase the campaign. The current issue may be viewed here: http://theciateam.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_39.
Cowlin Insurance has made it simple for everyone to get onboard and show their support for Tech Corps by pledging to donate $20 for each and every recommendation they receive for an insurance quote, with no purchase necessary. Readers who would like to join the agency in supporting educational opportunities for local children may visit: http://theciateam.com/Connecting-Technology-Learning-and-the-Community_15_community_cause, and are encouraged to share the page with those in their own circles of influence. Contributors may be acknowledged for their donations in the agency’s monthly magazine.
Cowlin Insurance has demonstrated their devotion to the community by the establishment of a master charity program, of which the current campaign is part. “We are fully committed to assisting those in need in our community, and will be selecting a new group, family or individual to support every two to three months,” promised Cowlin.
