Richard E. Cullum's Newly Released "Trails Traveled" Is an Emotional Poetry Volume Revealing the Heart of True Faith
"Trails Traveled" from Christian Faith Publishing author Richard E. Cullum is an eloquent collection of faith-based poems inspired by God's saints, especially Job of the Old Testament and Saint Paul of the New, as well as the author's experiences.
MEADVILLE, Pa., March 22, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- "Trails Traveled": a poetic legacy for saints come and gone, is the creation of published author Richard E. Cullum, a pastor and great-great-grandfather born in Waterproof, Louisiana.
Cullum writes, "Trails Traveled is based upon my own life experiences and always with a biblical emphasis upon the message or messages. I truly believe that all of humanity endures many of the same hardships, defeats, frustrations, doubts, sorrows, and victories that are common to mortal man. The great apostle Paul wrote to the Christians in Corinth that 'there hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it' (1 Cor. 10:13). We can learn from the patriarch Job what travails can come into our lives suddenly and unexpectedly that can almost sweep us away and will unless we have built our house on the rock of our Lord Jesus.
"Many of these poems were inspired upon the heath of dear saints of God and my friends in response to their legacies that were lived before us and influenced us tremendously. I have seen God's saints approach death without fear and/or remorse and with sometimes only a whisper of breath exhaled with praise and adoration for and to their Savior, the Lord Jesus. I have witnessed stillborn twins and ninety-nine-year-olds all exit this life, and I do not believe you can live among God's people without being blessed. I believe this collection of poems written by my hand can be used in devotion and meditation and can bring encouragement, even though some have a patriotic anthem to them. They are still based upon my belief that God Almighty gave this country to a people that were fleeing from religious persecution who sought for a place they could worship him in spirit and in truth."
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Richard E. Cullum's new book is a poignant meditation on the walk of faith for those who currently walk it.
