Richard Cibrano Weaves Mystery and Adventure Together in New Book
Brooklyn, N.Y. (PRWEB) October 04, 2013 -- Author Richard Cibrano’s newest novel, “Unthinkable” (published by AuthorHouse), takes readers to the edge of their seats as two detectives uncover a plot to start a world war, and it all starts with the sinking of the infamous Titanic.
“Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the story of the Titanic,” writes Cibrano. “I have also read extensively on the period.”
When former president Theodore Roosevelt makes a surprise visit to the Manhattan Pinkerton detective agency with a shocking letter in hand, Allan Pinkerton is nothing more than stunned. Major Archibald Butt has just gone down with the unsinkable Titanic, but not before sending a letter from South Hampton, England. A representative of the Italian prime minister has knowledge of a plot to insight a world war, which involves the sinking of a passenger liner, and he’s passed the information to Butt.
Pinkerton takes the case and calls in Frank Dimaio from Philadelphia, a seasoned detective who tracked Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Together, the two detectives uncover a dastardly insurance fraud plot, but the guilty party is still at large, determined to succeed. It’s a race against time as Pinkerton and Dimaio try to thwart the plot and stop a war from breaking out.
Both thrilling and well-researched, “Unthinkable” creates a new perspective on the famous ocean liner that will entertain both historical fiction fans and scholars of the World War I era.
