Calgary, Alberta (PRWEB) November 13, 2013 -- Written in the form of a letter to his nephew, “Dear Rob” (published by Balboa Press) takes years of philosophical conversations between author Richard Penner and his nephew, Rob, and presents them in a structured format for readers everywhere.
“Until the last generation or two, the experiences and wisdom of one generation was usually passed onto the next by word of mouth and direct observation,” says Penner. “This is no longer the case in our western society. Families are now much more fragmented. Other institutions like culture and religion are either very immature or falling apart. This book is a vehicle whereby one person (me) is communicating my experiences and opinions to the next generation (Rob).”
Penner believes his book is a helpful guide in developing guidelines and parameters for readers’ lives. “This is not a detailed ‘rules of the road,’” he says. “It is a macro overview to find very personal application in many different situations.” He invites readers to join him as he takes his experiences and shows them the philosophy that emerged from those experiences and how this philosophy can be applied to many situations in life.
