About the GCBG
The Glendale Coalition for Better Government is an organization comprised of business owners and residents who want to make Glendale, CA a better place to work, live, and visit. Its mission is to promote, responsiveness, accountability, integrity, and transparency in Glendale City Government, a goal shared by Rick Barnes.
The GCBG works on engaging and educating business owners and residents in the dynamics of City politics and management. They act as a collective voice for business owners and individual citizens of Glendale, as well as the counterbalance to the special interests that make up the city government. Rick Barnes for Glendale City Council
As an active member of the Glendale community, Rick Barnes has been influential in various city projects, but that influence has always been limited. What he has seen throughout his work is a City Council that is not accountable for their actions and a City Council whose motives and decisions lack transparency. He wants to help build a City Council that truly represents the residents and business owners of Glendale, not a City Council that makes decisions based on special interests.
