Global Black Car Service Asks Its Clients to Ride Pink in October to Raise Funds for Breast Cancer Research
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 06, 2014 -- GroundLink, a global leader in tech-enabled black car service, is encouraging its clients to break out their pink apparel during October in its #RidePINKwithGroundLink promotion to help increase breast cancer awareness and support the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
GroundLink will donate $5 to NBCF for clients who wear any pink (ahem) outer garment during their GroundLink professionally chauffeured ride, and also post a photo on Google+, Facebook or Twitter with the tag @GroundLink #RidePINKwithGroundLink. The promotion runs through the end of October, which is National Breast Cancer Awareness month.
“We’re glad to join literally millions of Americans who are raising awareness of breast cancer, but more importantly the need for early detection and treatment,” said Dean Sivley, GroundLink’s CEO. “Our ‘#RidePINKwithGroundLink’ promotion is a fun way for us to spread the word to our clients throughout the world, and also give them a chance to get engaged in this great cause.”
According to NBCF, it is estimated that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. However, when breast cancer is detected early (at the localized stage), the five-year survival rate is 98 percent.
