Right at Home, a leading in-home care franchise with more than 350 locations in 44 states nationwide and a presence in seven additional countries, continues to make strides to provide the best quality of care services to seniors and disabled adults. To help achieve this goal, a number of corporate office staff members have become certified business coaches.
Featured in the Franchise Times article “Fast and Serious,” Right at Home was named in the top 30 of the franchising industry’s smartest-growing brands. With a sustainable strategy in place for global expansion, Right at Home is taking steps to ensure that the entire system is highly knowledgeable in the field, including the completion of a Certified Business Coaching seminar for corporate office staff, resulting in business coach certification for all participants. Completion of the seminar is one example of Right at Home’s objective to ensure the company is supporting its mission – “To improve the quality of life for those we serve.”
“We prioritize the professional development of the entire Right at Home system, and in order to deliver that priority, we need to make sure that our home office staff can provide the proper support back to our franchisees,” said Margaret Haynes, Chief Operating Officer for Right at Home. “A well-rounded training system is crucial in helping us succeed as a franchise system and lead the senior care industry.”
The four-day seminar was facilitated by Andrew Neitlich, author of The Way to Coach Executives, The Certified Business Coach Training Manual, and Elegant Leadership: Simple Strategies, Remarkable Results. The sessions focused on business, behavioral and perceptual coaching for the home office staff. Equipped with a multitude of applicable and customizable tools, Neitlich helped Right at Home prepare programs that will be implemented to develop their support system.
Coming on the heels of a record-growth year for Right at Home, the Certified Business Coaching seminar supplements Right at Home’s continued efforts to maintain the growth of their franchise system without compromising their attentiveness to the needs of franchisees. In January of this year, the brand hosted their 100th training class of franchisees — a significant milestone for the company’s evolution.
“We pride ourselves on being able to provide the best-quality support to our franchisees, who, in turn, support their staff of caregivers as well as their clientele of seniors and disabled adults,” Haynes said.
Now is a critical time for the in-home care industry, due to the 78 million baby boomers who have started turning 65 — which translates to 10,000 people per day turning 65 years of age. After having a record year of expansion in 2013, Right at Home is hoping to award another 50 locations by the end of the year in order to serve the growing need of their services. The brand is also continuing to aggressively target international markets for additional expansion.
Many factors have contributed to the continued success of the Right at Home brand, including a comparatively low initial and ongoing investment for franchisees during a time of unprecedented growth in the market. By providing the best support staff from the home office with the Certified Business Coaching seminar, Right at Home has positioned itself to be a leader in the industry, further differentiating itself to spur additional growth.
