NORWALK, Conn., May 28, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- RMA of Connecticut, a leading fertility practice whose exceptional quality and care helps couples and individuals grow their family, is supporting teachers by offering complimentary AMH fertility testing to all female teachers this summer beginning Monday, June 17 through Monday, July 31. Any teacher interested in her reproductive health, whether she plans to start a family now or in the future, can visit any of the following RMA of Connecticut's locations (Danbury, Norwalk, Stamford and Trumbull) for an anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) blood test, an excellent measure of a woman's ovarian reserve, which naturally declines with age. RMA of Connecticut's medical staff will be available to draw blood for the AMH tests from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
The AMH fertility test results help determine a woman's chances of becoming pregnant now and in the future. Women can take this test while on the birth control pill or at any time during their menstrual cycle. Teachers who come to RMA of Connecticut will have their blood drawn and will receive a phone call from a nurse with results within 10 business days.
"Like the teachers we created this program for, we believe in education," says Dr. Cynthia Murdock, a Board Certified OB/GYN and reproductive endocrinologist with RMA of Connecticut. "We offer workshops, support groups and classes each year because we want our patients to be informed about their fertility. This program is about more than offering a free test; it is an opportunity for women to have the necessary facts to plan for the future and for their family."
