Fielder aims to ignite the natural desire in readers for understanding the world around them, something he believes many have lost.
“I hope that this book will wake up what is, in fact, a latent desire for understanding the nature of human being,” Fielder writes. “This desire is countermanded by much of what is done in our present circumstance.”
Fielder uses his many years of living and strong Catholic beliefs to also tackle the topics of religion, society, and politics. He maintains a stance of faith throughout the text regardless of the topic however, reinforcing the overarching theme of good and evil.
“God is the infinite power of presence,” Fielder explains. “God is the infinite power of now and then. His is the existential all; and the all enduring reality. What is known for certain about all men? All men are not the same.”

About the Author
Robert R. Fiedler, M.A., M.S., M.F.S., was born in Milwaukee in 1930. He has completed a significant teaching career and has now turned to writing. Over the past 60 years his painting, graphic art and sculpture have been exhibited in numerous places in Europe, the United States and Asia. He has had over 50 one-man exhibitions and has won innumerable awards and honors. He was awarded for service from a commanding general of the U. S. Army and has two congressional citations. Fiedler was married for almost 53 years to Geri, his high school sweetheart, recently deceased. They have two children and five grandchildren.
