New Book ‘Dancing With God’ Collects Inspirational Blog Entries
Washougal, Wash. (PRWEB) August 29, 2014 -- Author Roger Button says it is easy to see God in a blue sky with fluffy clouds, but it is harder to see God in life’s mud puddles. In his new book of daily inspiration, “Dancing with God: Seeing God in the Everydayness of Life” (published by WestBow Press) Button hopes his readers find joy in life’s little miracles.
Button is a Quaker minister. When he decided to move his sermons from the church to a local coffee shop, he realized his life’s passion was connecting with people on a personal level, inspiring them to live closer to God. He took up a part-time job at his local YMCA, and his interpersonal skills flourished. As he talked with patrons, they asked him to write daily inspirational messages for the patrons to take with them.
His first message was titled “Bread” and reached six people at the YMCA. But that small success turned into an international audience after the creation of Button’s blog, “Daily Bread for Ragamuffins”. Taken from Button’s blog, the insights found within “Dancing with God” are meant to inspire readers to see God in the most minute details of their everyday lives.
“Through laughter and tears, the broken will find healing and the hopeless will find hope,” Button says of his book. “For those who find themselves in the middle, they will learn to share God in the commonality of life.”
