Realtor Josephine Traina Gives Back to Charleston Community
(PRWEB) April 24, 2014 -- Local Realtor, Josephine Traina, spent Good Friday, giving back to the community. Not only did she get to wear the "Red Shoes" that Ronald McDonald wears, but got to learn about all the good work the Ronald McDonald House is doing.
As part of Josephine's myheavenlyreward.com program, whenever a buyer or seller purchases a home, Josephine donates a portion of each sale to the charity of the client's choice. The Komisorov's used Josephine's services during their real estate transaction, and a donation of $1000 was made to the Ronald McDonald site, in their name.
The Ronald McDonald House is a 27-bedroom home where families stay while their children undergo extensive medical treatment. Here, parents and children lead a life as normal as possible during traumatic times, without the financial burden of costly hotel and travel expenses.
The Ronald McDonald Family Room at MUSC provides a sanctuary within the walls of the hospital where family members can rest, read, shower or have a cup of coffee while still being only minutes away from their seriously ill child.
Josephine is also a member of the Charleston Red Shoe Society that helps with organizing events and volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House of Charleston.
There are so many ways for you to help the Ronald McDonald House. You can donate food, volunteer your time, or start a fundraiser. Charleston's first Red Shoe Walk will be taking place in October in Hampton Park. Each participant is asked to raise $1600 which is the daily cost to run this amazing Ronald McDonald House 32 room home.
