Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion Figures Exceed Expectations
Ontario, CA (PRWEB) September 26, 2013 -- Greater Ontario California’s Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion exceeded all expectations in its first year, with attendance, participation and economic impact surpassing initial projections by 39 percent, organizers reported today.
An impressive 139,000 people attended the three-day event Sept. 20-23, generating $15.3 million in economic impact to the community through hotel stays, food, entertainment and other purchases, said Michael Krouse, President and CEO of the Greater Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau, http://www.discoverontariocalifornia.org. More than 800 classic cars participated in exhibits, contests and cruises along historic Euclid Avenue.
“The event was an incredible success,” Krouse said. “We were floored with the response we got in our first year. Next year will be even better.”
The Route 66 Crusin’ Reunion featured three days of classic automobiles, cruising, contests, live contests, fabulous food and revelry to make it one of the nation’s most extended, long-play events of its kind. To be held annually in September, it promises to be one of the premier Route 66 car shows in the U.S. For information, visit http://www.route66cruisinreunion.com.
