Developers of Southampton’s Royal Pier Waterfront Launch New Website for the Public
(PRWEB UK) 12 July 2014 -- RPW (Southampton) Limited (RPWSL), the entity charged with the development of the Royal Pier Waterfront in Southampton, has announced the launch of a new website for the much-anticipated development. RPWSL, a Joint Venture between Morgan Sindall Investments Limited (MSIL) and the Lucent Group, has released the website in order to share the waterfront development's many and varied benefits.
"Southampton's historic waterfront is steeped in a tradition of discovery, innovation and industry," stated Charles Flynn, CEO of Lucent Group. "This development - as well as our newly launched website - will follow in those same proud traditions."
A mixed-use development agreement for the regeneration of the Royal Pier Waterfront was signed in February 2014 between the joint venture company and the landowners, Southampton City Council, Associated British Ports and the Crown Estate.
The website outlines the ambitious plans that feature luxury residential flats, professional office space, food and retail outlets, hotels, public and private parking as well as the redevelopment and improvement of Mayflower Park. The website further provides information about RPWSL and its partners, details and benefits of the project and vital information for the public. This includes Frequently Asked Questions, information about the next steps of the development and will eventually make available all planning application documents for public review.
"RPWSL and its partners have long held a vision to unite and integrate the Royal Pier Waterfront with the surrounding city to create a vital and bustling urban development with the goal of bringing people closer than ever before to the history and beauty of one of the world's most important ports," stated Lisa Scenna, Managing Director of Morgan Sindall.
A focus of the website concerns the announcement of two scheduled public exhibitions in July and September 2014, where the project will be outlined and members of the public will have an opportunity to meet the design team and to provide feedback on the project. A public feedback form for locals to answer questions and comment on the development is also featured.
MSIL is the investment division of construction and regeneration group Morgan Sindall Group plc. Lucent Group is a strategic land development and land investment company specialising in funding regeneration throughout the UK.
"This development represents an unprecedented opportunity to create an exciting and world-class waterfront development for Southampton," said Flynn. "We and our partners are committed to a long-term plan that encompasses and honours Southampton's past as well as its future, while meticulously and respectfully preserving the community's unique and important history.”
