KualiCo Acquires rSmart SaaS Business, Navigator Management Partners Acquires rSmart Consulting Services, rSmart Re-focuses on OneCampus Cloud-based Product
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) October 14, 2014 -- rSmart, a leader in administrative solutions for higher education, today announced that the newly formed KualiCo will acquire rSmart’s Kuali software as a service (SaaS) business and Navigator Management Partners, a leading Kuali Commercial Affiliate, will acquire rSmart’s Kuali consulting services. rSmart will continue to focus on solutions for higher education, with its latest product called OneCampus. Specific terms of the deals have not been disclosed.
KualiCo Acquires rSmart’s SaaS Business
Chris Coppola, rSmart CEO and co-founder, and 15 rSmart team members will join KualiCo. The newly formed KualiCo is focused on providing amazing software that lowers the cost of higher ed administration and improves the learning experience for students, faculty, and staff. The former rSmart team members will help jumpstart KualiCo’s sales, marketing, and product development efforts.

Navigator Management Partners Acquire rSmart Consulting Services
The acquisition of rSmart’s consulting services by Navigator Management Partners brings together Navigator’s expertise with rSmart’s Kuali cloud-based and on-premise implementation, training, and support services. Fourteen rSmart consultants will join the Navigator team.

rSmart Adapts Business Model, Focuses on OneCampus
With the KualiCo and Navigator acquisitions, rSmart will re-focus its business on OneCampus, a new cloud-based service that gives students, faculty, and staff one easy place to access all campus services. Tony Potts, co-founder and CTO, will lead rSmart moving forward as CEO with a team of employees.
In July 2014, rSmart partnered with Indiana University to offer OneCampus to all colleges and universities. Last month, rSmart launched OneCampus along with availability through Internet2 Net+.
The NET+ OneCampus service is the result of the collaboration between seven universities, Internet2, and rSmart to provide a unique offering to the higher education community.
