RxAssurance Named Top Social Impact Venture for Health, Wellness and Food Category by 2016 CO Impact Days and Initiative
Denver, CO (PRWEB) March 13, 2016 -- CO Impact Days and Initiative has announced that RxAssurance won the Health, Wellness and Food Award for Outstanding Social Impact at the CO Impact Days Social Venture Showcase March 4, 2016.
RxAssurance, a prescription optimization company based in Denver, Colo., engages patients and collects data for providers and payers to create healthy prescription medication habits, improve outcomes and decrease unnecessary hospitalizations and doctors’ visits. Their comprehensive pain medication web and mobile platform, OpiSafe, was created to address the growing epidemic of prescribed opioid misuse and abuse.
Sixty ventures, chosen from more than 280 applicants, convened at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts for the inaugural statewide marketplace for impact investing. The chosen social ventures showcased their ability to provide a return on investment while improving Colorado communities. Only the top venture from each of six categories was chosen to present on stage.
“This is the first time in the U.S. that 200 accredited impact investors came together for a statewide marketplace, where they were able to connect with each other, learn, and have intimate access to social ventures representing projects, for profits, nonprofits and funds at any stage of growth,” said Dr. Stephanie Gripne, Founder of the Impact Finance Center and creator of CO Impact Days and Initiative.
