"SHE Week 2022 will IGNITE the forge of opportunity and empower women to stretch beyond artificial boundaries to achieve the success they so richly deserve." - Rick Weldon, President & CEO, Frederick County Chamber of Commerce
FREDERICK, Md. (PRWEB) August 03, 2022
The Frederick County Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the launch of this year’s S.H.E. Week, a week of in-person events celebrating the Strength, Heart and Equality of women in Frederick County.
S.H.E. Week is a concept developed by the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business committee whose mission is to empower and develop women through education, networking, mentoring and partnerships and to promote opportunities for all women throughout the county. Launched in 2019, it centers around the concept of Strength, Heart and Equality (S.H.E.). Held August 22-26, S.H.E. Week 2022 will unpack the power and potential of women by igniting minds, careers and lives. This impactful week includes a diverse range of in-person activities from inspiring keynote speakers and hands-on workshops, to the S.H.E. Pitch competition, SHERO Awards, and more!
"SHE Week 2022 will IGNITE the forge of opportunity and empower women to stretch beyond artificial boundaries to achieve the success they so richly deserve. I'm incredibly proud of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce, our staff and the Women In Business Committee for another year of connection and enlightenment, commented Rick Weldon,” President & CEO of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce.
In 2021 S.H.E. Week earned two national distinctions from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives as both a “Best in Show” and “Award of Excellence.” It also spawned a sister celebration in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 2022 called HER Fayetteville.
