Attorney Jeffrey Schietzelt Accepts Teaching Position at Sacred Heart University

Prominent New York trial attorney Jeffrey Schietzelt has accepted a teaching position at Sacred Heart University to begin in the upcoming semester; Schietzelt, who currently sits on the university’s Institutional Review Board, is expanding his relationship with his alma mater as an adjunct professor teaching law and ethics.

Jeffrey is a trial attorney at Pena & Kahn, PLLC, where he was recently named to the prestigious “Rising Stars” list by Super Lawyers Magazine, an honor bestowed upon the top attorneys in New York City under the age of 40 as nominated by their peers and members of the judiciary. He is excited to teach a class each semester while maintaining his current position. “Trial advocacy is my passion, but I am excited for the opportunity to provide the same positive influence and guidance once provided to me at SHU to a new generation of students,” said Jeffrey.

Jeffrey ascribes much of his success to the guidance of his college mentor, Michael Larobina. Michael is currently the Sacred Heart University Secretary and General Counsel. In 1998, however, Michael was teaching the same class with Jeffrey as a student. "Jeff has always demonstrated a strong command of the law. Given his strong interpersonal
skills, I have no doubt he will do an excellent job in the classroom," commented Michael D. Larobina, J.D., LL.M.
