SAE Institute, one of America’s premier creative media arts colleges, will present its third annual Alumni Awards ceremony on Wednesday, July 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The ceremony is open to the public, and will take place at The Cutting Room, 44 E. 32nd Street in Manhattan.
“Our Alumni Awards will celebrate the outstanding achievements that SAE grads have made in the audio industry over the past year,” says Campus Director for SAE New York Michael Morrell. “There will also be great performances by SAE-related bands, as well as fantastic networking opportunities for engineers and producers who want to meet key players and create valuable connections.”
Awards will be given out to SAE alumni who have achieved noteworthy success in the following categories:
The host of the event will be NY-based singer/songwriter, philanthropist, and music business entrepreneur, Jillian-Marie Kelleher. Industry judges will include Grammy-nominated mastering engineer Emily Lazar (The Lodge), post-production engineer Houston Snyder (Great City Post), sound engineer Howard Rappaport (Arlene’s Grocery), Claude Zdanow (Founder and CEO of StadiumRed), and talent manager Joe D’Ambrosio (JD Management). Musical performances will include Nonsense, Rony's Insomnia, and the F-Units – all of which include SAE alumni as members.
“The SAE Alumni Awards ceremony will assemble some of the premier engineering and production talent in New York,” says Morrell. “We’re looking forward to an incredible evening of networking, entertainment, and well-deserved recognition of our talented alumni nominees.”
Partners for the SAE Alumni Awards are SonicScoop, StadiumRed, The Lodge, Great City Post, and JD Management.
