However, with the proper resources and education, most accidents can be avoided. For over 40 years, Boak & Sons has been committed to providing a safe environment for its employees. To celebrate a 2018 roofing season well done, Sam Boak recognized his employees' hard through a special holiday tradition. The entire staff received an 18-20 pound turkey this year as a "Thank You" for their hard work.

Boak & Sons has a Safety Director on staff, as well as a safety council comprised of in-house installers. The goal of the council is to ensure that all safety programs developed and implemented are relevant to daily job responsibilities. The Safety Director works with outside companies to provider regular continuing safety education. In addition, Boak & Sons continually invests in training and equipment for their installers.
With the season ending for Ohio roofing contractors in early November, Thanksgiving is the perfect time to celebrate Boak & Sons' safety record. This year, all crews performed their work at the standard of safety set forth by the company, so the annual turkey tradition continued. Boak & Sons purchased over 200 turkeys! Every employee received one. In addition, there were roughly twenty turkeys left over. With help from staff, Sam Boak & others cooked and donated the extra turkeys for Thanksgiving dinners at local churches.
