Hunger is a growing problem in our area, and we are truly concerned about the number of people who may go hungry during the holidays...it’s the generosity of the community at large which will end hunger for our neighbors in San Antonio.
San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) December 16, 2015
With offices in San Antonio, TX, award-winning Clear Insurance Group celebrates the beginning of a new charity campaign as part of its ongoing community enrichment program. Now raising funds to help local people who don’t have enough food to eat, the agency is partnering with the San Antonio Food Bank. In the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors in times of crisis, the agency hopes to rally the community behind the San Antonio Food Bank. Contributions may now be made through http://safoodbank.org/donate/.
The San Antonio Food Bank (SAFB) is on a mission to fight hunger in Southwest Texas through food distribution, service programs, education and advocacy. The face of hunger in the area crosses all traditionally thought of boundaries: over 1/3 of clients are children and almost half of households include at least one employed adult.
Providing nearly 50 million pounds of food to more than 500 partner agencies in 16 different counties, they strive to maintain the highest standard of efficiency with 98% of donated resources going directly to food distribution programs. The SAFB has consistently received the highest possible 4-star rating from Charity Navigator. Creating hope and nourishing lives through a powerful network of hunger relief, they rely on the support and generosity of local businesses, churches, foundations, civic groups and others to serve Southwest Texans who would otherwise go hungry.
“Hunger is a growing problem in our area, and we are truly concerned about the number of people who may go hungry during the holidays,” attested Robin Czarnek, owner of Clear Insurance Group, who has helped touch the lives of so many people in the community. “We wanted to help in whatever way possible. Our community is terrific at rallying around those in need, and it’s the generosity of the community at large which will end hunger for our neighbors in San Antonio.”
Clear Insurance has set a goal of $500, which will help SAFB to increase the number of hungry people they can serve this winter. The agency’s team is hard at work appealing to their network of customers, business partners, friends and family, inviting them to actively participate not only by contributing financially, but also by spreading the word to others in their own circles of influence. The campaign is being promoted through the agency’s social media channels, email and text message communications, as well as through their monthly magazine, which is delivered to thousands of households in the greater San Antonio metro area. Our Hometown magazine reserves a full page to feature the details of this worthy Community Cause. The electronic Flipbook version of the current issue may be accessed here: http://www.clearinsurancegroup.com/Our-Hometown-Magazine_41.
The agency itself has pledged to donate $10 to the campaign for SAFB for each and every referral they receive for an insurance quote, with no purchase necessary. Clear Insurance Group will continue to work with individuals and nonprofits in the area, promising to identify new worthwhile opportunities to support the community every 30-90 days. Members of the community may also submit information on groups, families or individuals to be considered for future campaigns at http://www.clearinsurancegroup.com/Add-Community-Cause_48.
