San Francisco 49ers Tickets Are in Demand at Preferred Seating Tickets for the Farewell to Candlestick Park Season
(PRWEB) September 04, 2013 -- The 49ers have made vast improvements in recent years and they went all the way to the Super Bowl last season before losing to the Baltimore Ravens 34-31. But that’s just a few of many reasons San Francisco 49ers tickets are selling like hotcakes this year. This will be the final season for the 49ers at Candlestick Park before the stadium is demolished and the team packs up and moves to Santa Clara and with that will be longer drives and more expensive tickets for fans.
One of the biggest games of the year for the San Francisco 49ers will be this Sunday against the visiting Green Bay Packers who have become one of the team’s biggest rivals in recent years. And this would typically be the toughest 49er ticket of the year and hence the most expensive seats of the season but the final game against the Atlanta Falcons are proving to be the highest priced tickets of the year. The memories of the big wins by Joe Montana, Steve Young and the rest of the players from the winning seasons has long time fans looking to attend the last game at the aging stadium.
Levis Stadium will also be about 40 miles south of the current Candlestick Park site adding an extra hour to the commute time for fans that live north of San Francisco. On the bright side the parking will be much better at the new location near the Great America theme park in Santa Clara than the nightmare around Candlestick where fans can spend an hour just getting out of the parking lot.
Candlestick Park is worn, outdated and the team can’t wait to move into the brand new stadium but most of the current season ticket holders won’t be there when the new stadium opens in 2014. Stung by the high seat license fees and increase in ticket prices to pay for the new stadium costs many fans are looking at their final year as 49er season ticket holders. So this year they’re going to more games and asking a little more for the tickets they’re selling which has brought ticket prices to their highest levels ever.
“There may not be very many deals for San Francisco 49ers tickets this year,” says Greg Cullen of Preferred Seating Tickets. “The demand for 49er tickets is the highest we’ve seen in the 26 years we’ve been in business.”
Right now the cheapest tickets for the San Francisco 49ers can be found for the games against the Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers and St. Louis Rams with prices starting at $75 per seat. Next season the cheapest 49ers tickets have a face value of $85 each with a $2000 per ticket seat license fee which blows out the current costs of ticket prices paid by season ticket holders by over 65%.
It’s a change the 49ers and the fans could not ignore any longer and the new Levi Stadium will be one of the most state of the art venues in the world. The same fans that are attending the final San Francisco 49ers game at Candlestick Park will be very different from the ones attending the first game in the new stadium with a lot more corporate owners than individuals. Fans looking to attend the final game may want to make plans early because these days nostalgia comes with a price and that may be going up as the season progresses.
Preferred Seating Tickets has been a leading supplier of tickets for the San Francisco 49ers on the secondary ticket market for over 25 years.
