San Diego Law Firm Announces That It Will Grant a $1,000 Autism Scholarship

SAN DIEGO, March 07, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- RJT Criminal Defense Lawyers, a San Diego law firm, and its founder, Ryan J. Tegnelia, have announced that the firm will be offering a scholarship for individuals with autism. The scholarship will assist in defraying some of the tuition costs charged by the school selected by the recipient of the scholarship. The school may be a college, university, junior college or trade school.

More than 30% of those with autism (also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder, or ASD) have an intellectual disability, and this can have major effect on education and communication. The goal of the scholarship is (a) to increase the support available to provide the best possible educational opportunities to those with ASD, and (b) to encourage those with autism to pursue their educational goals.

Any U.S. citizen who has been diagnosed with autism (ASD) is eligible to submit a scholarship application. Current school attendance (at the time of the submission of the application) is not required. The tuition must, however, be used within one year from the date that the award is announced.
