Seven hundred global business executives from around the world are expected to attend this fall’s LocWorld conference in San Jose, November 6-8.

The conference, which features multiple tracks with beginner, intermediate and advanced topics, has a special focus on going and being global.

LocWorld brings together delegates who are engaged in the business of adapting products, services and communications to an international language or culture so as to appear native to that particular region. Speakers at the conference include representatives from Amazon Web Services, eBay, Expedia Group, Facebook, Google, GS Capital, Indeed, Microsoft, Philips, Pinterest, Salesforce, SurveyMonkey, VMware and many others.

The conference, produced by MultiLingual Computing, Inc. and The Localization Institute, will be held at the Fairmont San Jose.

“This conference represents an opportunity for executives who may be entering the international field as well as experienced professionals to learn from experts on how to reach and serve audiences at home and abroad,” says Ulrich Henes, conference co-organizer and president of The Localization Institute. “Our attendees are going to enjoy sessions that examine subject matter ranging from speech and text artificial intelligence to international readiness in software localization. There will also be many opportunities to relax and network.”

The keynote will be delivered by Vitaly Golomb, a mergers and acquisitions and venture capital expert. Vitaly founded three technology and services companies, served as a mentor to a dozen global startup accelerators and business schools, contributed to TechCrunch and authored the best-selling book Accelerated Startup.

The preconference day will include a workshop on globalization from startup to enterprise, an introduction to localization, a sales and marketing round table, a session on evaluating source content and a session on globalization.

During the main conference program, attendees may choose from multiple topic areas: Content Management, Data; Global Business; Go Global, Be Global; Inside Track; TAUS, Technical, Unconference and What’s Next?

Some highlighted presentations include:

On Thursday, November 7, there will be a public open house where people may attend the last session of the day and visit the exhibit hall without charge but advance registration is required.

A Process Innovation Challenge will be held and shortlisted process innovators will pitch their innovative process ideas to a panel and the audience who will vote for their favorite. The top one will be named the LocWorld Process Innovator for North America 2019.

LocWorld41 Silicon Valley sponsors include: RWS Moravia, thebigword, Amazon Web Services, Akorbi, Memsource and Venga.

A stand-alone event, the Game Global Summit, which covers localization, functional and localization testing of games will take place November 5-6. “This will be our fourth Game Global and it’s growing nicely,” said Donna Parrish, publisher of the magazine MultiLingual and co-organizer of LocWorld. “We have a top-notch advisory board of professionals from the industry which has helped us pick the topics and select the best presentations. The feedback from attendees has been excellent.”
