TSC Restoration Begins Water Damage Repair at San Diego Marriott Marquis
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) May 11, 2015 -- TSC Restoration, one of the largest water damage restoration companies in San Diego, has just started work on one of its largest projects in recent history.
On Wednesday, a 12-inch water main was ruptured in downtown San Diego, quickly flooding a construction site, hotel, and several Seaport Village shops with thousands of gallons of water. Two at-capacity hotels, the Marriott Marquis and the Hyatt on Harbor Drive, were left without running water for about five hours, impacting over 4,400 guests.
While water service was restored later that day, the water damage restoration process has just begun. TSC Restoration's Ron Berry says that his company was selected by the hotel’s management because of their experience with larger commercial water damage repair projects.
"Some of our biggest jobs over the years came from smaller restoration companies who got in over their heads," said Berry. "For this job we've already had to remove more water than most restoration companies will see in a year."
Mr. Berry says that his company is able to handle jobs this size thanks to his large arsenal of equipment, his dedicated team, and the experience gained from several other large restoration projects in the past, including a flood at Chaminade Preparatory in San Fernando.
The cause of Wednesday’s flood is still under investigation but many believe the construction crew working on the Marriott’s expansion is at fault. Damages are expected to be in the millions.
