Sandy Hurst Kellenbarger will present her 2012 illustrated children’s book “Magic Gnomes” (published by Trafford Publishing) at the 16th Annual American Association of School Librarians Conference in Hartford, Conn., Nov. 14-16, 2013.

The American Association of School Librarians (AASL), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), promotes the improvement and extension of library services in elementary and secondary schools as a means of strengthening the total education program. Its mission is to advocate excellence, facilitate change and develop leaders in the school library field.

Magic Gnomes” is the story of Grandma and Grandpa, who introduce their grandchildren to five gnomes living at their house. They take the grandchildren on a walk around their property to find each gnome and learn a little about what each gnome does. The children learn the importance of family and being together.
