Coming to America is a 1988 comedy starring Eddie Murphy as Prince Akeem Joffer, an African prince who visits America to find a woman to marry—other than the one his parents have arranged for him to marry. The comedy follows the prince, who has been pampered all his life, as he searches New York City for the love of his life. The movie was directed by John Landis and also stars Arsenio Hall and James Earl Jones.
“Coming to America is such a funny movie,” says Eat|See|Hear Co-owner Sharon Sperber. “People will not want to miss this one. We’ve also got a really cool band playing, and some awesome food trucks. It’s sure to be a fun night.”
