Prepared Response’s (PRI), Rapid Responder emergency preparedness and crisis management system is now deployed in over 12,000 school campus buildings across the country, giving local first responders and school staff access to critical site information for increased student safety and security. Rapid Responder entered the market in 2000, and has shown continued school building deployment of 20% annually over the last 6 years.
Rapid Responder also provides a secure web-based incident management module to track, document, report and evaluate safety drills performed by schools, empowering districts to increase their campus safety. Prepared Response customers increased their safety drill reporting activity in Rapid Responder by 40% in the last five years and more than 25%, in the last year, logging over 54,000 drills through the NIMS (National Incident Management System) based incident command module. The increased drill and training activity by Rapid Responder customers point to an amplified focus on emergency response and preparedness.
“The dramatic increase on drill reporting reflects an obvious increased focus on safety planning by our customers,” says PRI CEO Jim Finnell. “Prepared Response is proud to play a role in increasing safety and security of students, educators and other school staff across the country.”
In the event of an emergency, first responders and school officials need instant access to detailed campus information for improved response capabilities.
