Some highlights of the conference will include:

  • Student Paper Competition—The Noise and Vibration Conference and Exhibition will host a Student Paper Competition for all currently enrolled full-time graduate and undergraduate university students as well as those who have graduated from a university within the past six months. Judging will take place on Wednesday, June 12. CLICK HERE for more information.
  • Science Fair (Tuesday, June 11) – The Science Fair display is a hands-on, a video demonstration, or a collection of acoustical materials and instrumentation demonstrating a multitude of engineering efforts being used in the field of acoustics. All displays will be beneficial to the overall atmosphere of the conference. Display submissions will be subjected to a selection process. Displays will be available on the exhibit floor during show hours and will be voted on by attendees for “Best of Show” award.
  • Chat with the Experts – The conference will feature eight “Chat with the Experts.” They will include:
  • “Sound Package Materials and Performance Evaluation – Where we are heading?” – Pranab Saha, Kolano and Saha Engineers Inc. (Tuesday, June 11)
  • “Vehicle Active Control - Technical and Logistical Integration Scenarios and their Impact/Success for All Stakeholders” – Daniel Maguire, Noise Quieting Associates LLC (Tuesday, June 11)
  • “Signal Processing for NVH Applications” – Thomas L. Lago, QirraSound Technologies Europe AB (Tuesday, June 11)
  • “Career Path Decisions: Technical versus Administrative” – James K. Thompson, JKT Enterprises (Tuesday, June 11)
