Dr. Scott Alpert of The Clearing Residential Treatment Center Receives Washington State CDP License
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) February 25, 2014 -- The Clearing SPC, an innovative Washington treatment center specializing in a wide variety of addictive and limiting behaviors, today announced that Dr. Scott Alpert, PsyD, has received his Chemical Dependency Professional (CDP) license from the State of Washington Department of Health. Dr. Alpert is the Director of Clinical Operations at The Clearing, a residential rehab center on San Juan Island, WA.
“This is a tremendous milestone for both me and The Clearing – the formal recognition of more than 15 years in the chemical dependency / counseling field,” said Dr. Scott Alpert, co-founder and Director of Clinical Operations, The Clearing. “Most of my career has been spent in California, and I had a few hiccups with the move to Washington State. California did not require this type of CDP license, but ultimately it all worked out; I’m official and have my CDP, and perseverance pays off!”
Dr. Scott Alpert has worked in the mental health field since 1994. For the past ten years Dr. Alpert has worked at a Mental Health Urgent Care center in the Los Angeles, CA area helping people in extreme crisis. During his career, Dr. Scott has seen over 8000 patients. Scott has perfected the unique combination of spiritual and clinical psychology in an extraordinarily effective and endearing way.
The Clearing is a 12-steps alternative program that focuses on post-medical detox rehab and transformation by combining a myriad of conventional, spiritual and holistic therapeutic approaches to identify, address, and heal issues at their core. The program is one of empowerment and personal responsibility – no shame, no guilt.
