Unquestionably, e-recording is the fastest, most efficient way to record documents today. It’s so much more convenient and helps to automate document reception and return for the county.

Scott County, VA (PRWEB) August 18, 2014

Scott County has implemented electronic recording (e-recording) with Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service provider, making it easier and more cost-effective for customers to record land documents electronically.

Attorneys, title companies, banks, and other organizations that e-record documents in Scott County can save a significant amount of time and money, along with the county, by reducing paper waste, mailing expenses, and no longer having to spend money on fuel to drive to the county to submit documents for recording.

Through Simplifile’s secure, web-based service, users simply scan, upload and submit their documents, enabling the county to receive them electronically, review, stamp, record and return them back to the submitter through Simplifile in minutes.

“Unquestionably, e-recording is the fastest, most efficient way to record documents today,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “It’s so much more convenient and helps to automate document reception and return for the county.”

Fewer rejected documents and less check-writing are also some of the benefits that come with e-recording, as recording fees and payments can be more securely and accurately processed through Simplifile’s service via Automated Clearing House (ACH), for example.

Scott County is the 13th recording jurisdiction in Virginia to offer electronic recording through Simplifile, joining more than 1,120 counties e-recording with Simplifile nationwide.

High-speed Internet access, a PC, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for customers to begin e-recording with Simplifile.
