Training for Working with Older Adults is Coming to San Diego for Professionals Seeking Education in the Issues Associated with Aging

The CSA course teaches anyone who works with older adults about the strategies and tactics for working more effectively with the senior customer. CSA courses are held in locations around the country. James McCabe, PhD, is the President of Eldercare Resources, a geriatric care management company that specializes in eldercare and case management services. Over a period of more than 25 years, Dr. McCabe has assisted hundreds of families with planning in the areas of eldercare and long term care planning. Jim has served on the Board of The Financial Planning Association in Phoenix, AZ. He has worked extensively with professionals in the areas of estate planning, elder law and health care. Dr. McCabe holds Masters Degrees from the University of Hawaii in Social Work and Public Health, and earned his PhD at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a frequent contributor to the Journal of Practical Estate Planning.
Mickey Batsell, CASL, CLU, MBA, CSA, FLMI, CLTC, is an experienced industry professional, specializing in long-term care and surrounding issues including Medicare, Medicaid, home healthcare, nursing homecare, wealth transfer, and the selection of long-term care facilities. With 40 years of professional, and more importantly, personal family experiences, Mickey has an in-depth understanding of the challenges his clients face. As a protector of people’s independence and dignity, he currently represents industry-leading, financially sound companies and assists families, groups, and associations throughout the United States. Mickey has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and an MBA in Accounting. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), a Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL), a Fellow of Life Management Institute (FLMI), a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), and is Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC). Mickey takes an active role in his industry, community and church. He served on the national boards of director for the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, Society of Financial Services Professionals (SFSP) and the Alliance of Financial Management Professionals (AFMP). The CSA Review Class will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Airport / Liberty Station 2592 Laning Road, San Diego, CA 92106. Attendees of the CSA class review have the option to sit for the CSA Exam following the 3 days of class. In order to become Certified Senior Advisors, candidates must pass the CSA Exam in addition to meeting all certification requirements.
