Leading vehicle performance tuning company, SCT Performance announced today that it has partnered with Steve Arpin of Loenbro Motorsports and Vaughn Gittin Jr of RTR Motorsports for the 2019 race season. SCT Performance has roots in optimizing high performance vehicles both on and off the track. The partnerships between SCT and these racers continue that legacy.

SCT first partnered with Steve Arpin in 2017 as part of the Global Rally Cross Series and is excited once again to join together for this year in the American Rally Cross Series. SCT’s performance enhancements for Arpin have gone outside of the course this year including a variety of tow vehicles, to make sure the team gets to experience a new level of performance between races as well.

“The performance enhancements we can achieve with SCT are phenomenal,” said Arpin. “There are so many ways we use our vehicles away from the track, and SCT will really help us unlock their full potential. Whether it be their SCT line or their Bully Dog products, they have honestly had an impact across the board for us—most importantly, giving our Focus RS that extra power we need for One Lap of America! From my personal Ford Explorer to the team hospitality Ford F-350 and even up to our Peterbilt Semi Truck, they’ve helped us maximize our performance. In fact, we’ve got some awesome projects lined up with SCT and Hoonigan for later this year that will prove just that!”

SCT has also continued its relationship with Vaughn Gittin Jr. and the Formula Drift series. Working with Vaughn has allowed SCT to showcase its breadth of capabilities within his Ford vehicles including the Mustang RTR and his Fun-Haver F-150 truck.

“I’ve been running SCT Performance tuners on my personal vehicles and all of our special project vehicles that maintain the factory ECU since 2007, and the reliability, tunabilty and power increases have been flawless!” said Gittin Jr. “With SCT’s easy-to-use interface and vital monitoring abilities, we’re able to tune our vehicles to suit every need and make sure they are ready for my heavy right foot. From the confines of parking lots to the Nürburgring, SCT Performance has the tuning tools we trust and use."

Each of these series and partnerships give SCT Performance a unique opportunity to showcase the tuning capabilities of its Performance Programmers. The American Rally Cross and Formula Drift audiences are an exciting extension to those beyond the drag strips and road courses that have been a key part in building the brand.

“Our tuning products allow users to customize their vehicles to their needs. Both the Loenbro and RTR teams are putting our tuners through the paces on a variety of vehicles.” said Jill Hepp, Marketing Director. “Modifying a vehicle with aftermarket parts is only part of the process. Adding the tuning calibration is the necessary final piece to bring it all together in order to get every ounce of performance from your vehicle. We are excited to share that with even more enthusiasts throughout the 2019 season.”
