Washington, D.C. (PRWEB UK) 20 November 2014
Scytl, the worldwide leader in secure online voting and election modernization, today announced that Scytl Online Voting was used by the National Foundation for Women Legislators (NFWL) to successfully elect new leadership during its 2014 annual conference in Philadelphia, PA.
The NFWL annual conference is a national forum for elected women, industry leaders and issue experts to share ideas, discuss current events, and learn about new programs. In addition, the NFWL conference serves as a venue for members to elect new leadership. The 2014 conference represents the first time the organization elected its leadership via secure online voting.
“Scytl’s innovative technology and unmatched internet voting experience made it the logical choice to deliver secure online voting for our election,” said NFWL Chair Senator Diane Allen of New Jersey. “Not only was the election convenient and efficient, but it also provided an opportunity for our members to experience online voting which can potentially transform the future of elections in the United States.”
Scytl has successfully managed more than 100,000 electoral events across more than 35 countries including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Ecuador, the EU, France, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, Bosnia-Herzegovina, the UAE, India and Australia.
“Scytl is delighted to have helped NFWL membership securely elect leaders with everyday devices such as laptops, tablets and smartphones,” said Scytl General Manager, North America Brian O’Connor. “Similar to other areas of the world, we see a growing trend in U.S. corporations, unions and nonprofits adopting online voting for their private elections.”
Scytl Online Voting enables voters to securely and easily cast their vote from any location and on any device via Internet connection. Internet voting enfranchises all voters, including those who are located remotely, while ensuring privacy and results integrity. For the NFWL conference, Scytl partnered with third-party administrator Election Trust to manage the election.
