Scytl and TNS opinion provide the Results Website for the 2014 EU Parliamentary Elections

Of strategic importance to the European Parliament for the upcoming elections is the dissemination of the electoral results via the internet and communication channels such as media and social networks , ensuring up to date results are available to its citizens and beyond at all times.
To support this initiative, complementary to the EU elections website, the European Parliament has worked with the consortium formed by TNS opinion and Scytl to provide the EU Elections Results Website fed by Scytl Election Night Reporting. The platform will provide:
• An overview of the election results at both national and European levels;
• Reliable information on the participation and future composition of Parliament to the public, media, and partners in near real-time after the polls close the night of May 25th.
With the launch of the Results Website, the European Parliament leverages innovative election technology to support the challenging and changing needs of multinational and multi-language electoral efficiency strategies. This large scale international project also represents an outstanding opportunity to collaborate with a broad reaching network of international institutes to broadcast the projected and official results from all 28 member states.
In accordance with the specific European Parliament Results Website requirements, the two industry leaders have each provided the solution that best caters to these needs:
• TNS opinion will collect information from the 28 Member States, aggregate them and provide estimations and results (turnout, country results and hemicycle) during the election night.
• Scytl will provide both the platform technological support and its Election Night Reporting solution to publish and update the official results of the elections in real-time during election night. The ENR solution will deliver the highest security and accessibility, ensure real-time dissemination of the projected and actual results via the Internet and mobile devices across all the EU member states and support all 24 official languages. Results will be made widely accessible via a multilingual website and updated in real-time as final results come in from the Member States, from election night through to the constitutive session and beyond.
