Scytl Voter Education Receives Outstanding Scores in the Texas County Election Website Evaluation
Tampa, Florida (PRWEB) October 06, 2016 -- Scytl, the worldwide leader in election modernization and online voting solutions received acknowledgment by The League of Women Voters of Texas (LWV-TX) for providing voters with a comprehensive and user-friendly election website. Six of Scytl Voter Education customers - Bastrop, Dallas, Denton, Gregg, Jefferson, and Lubbock – were given a perfect score and received the Excellence Awards recognition for providing outstanding election websites.
As a nonpartisan political organization, the LWV-TX encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in elections and government. Essential to informed citizens who vote is precisely the ease of access to election information. To this end, the study undertaken in August 2016 assessed the online availability and adequacy of election information on the existing 242 official county web sites in Texas. Of the 242 county websites evaluated, only 15 received a perfect overall score. Of these top 15 county website, 6 (40%) currently, leverage Scytl Voter Education technology.
