“My kids have been a major source of inspiration for giving back to the community. My daughter and I love sea turtles, so I’m always thinking about new ways I can make a positive impact on their ecosystem,” Saltability Founder and CEO Ann Brown said.

In keeping with the company’s ongoing focus on environmental responsibility, sustainability and community service, Boca Raton, Florida-based Saltability has launched a new giveback effort: a donation for local sea turtle hatchlings for every new account opened with Saltability for professional items.

Saltability will make donations directly to the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, which supports the care and feeding of Gumbo Limbo’s turtles and continued conservation efforts on Boca Raton beaches. Saltability clients whose accounts result in the donation will receive a certificate of adoption from the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center.

“My kids have been a major source of inspiration for giving back to the community. My daughter and I love sea turtles, so I’m always thinking about new ways I can make a positive impact on their ecosystem,” Saltability Founder and CEO Ann Brown said. “I decided to partner with Gumbo Limbo because they do incredible conservation work for sea turtles, sea life and beach restoration.”

Saltability has a strong history of supporting the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center’s sea turtle conservation efforts. They recently sponsored the 2019 Gumbo Limbo 10K, an annual noncompetitive race hosted by Friends of Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, and Brown provided hands-on support through participation on the event committee. The 2019 race raised $34,000 — doubling the previous year’s efforts — and not only increased awareness of coastal and marine ecosystems through research, education and preservation but also provided a platform for runners and sponsors to support ocean conservation and rehabilitation of sick and injured sea turtles. Next year, for the 2020 Gumbo Limbo 10K, Brown will serve as co-chair of the event.
