Seahawks Surprises In Upcoming Season: 2013 Seahawks Tickets are Available Now at http://www.Seahawks-Tickets.org, Powered by InsideTrackTickets
Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- There is no NFL team that has made it clearer that they want to take over their division in the 2013 season than the Seattle Seahawks. On top of their already championship roster, the Seahawks may have snagged some unexpected gems in their free agency spree in the 2013 draft. The following is a look into some of those players who may work wonders for the Seahawks this year.
In 2012, the Seahawks had some great players that helped Russell Wilson make his tremendous debut in his rookie season. Golden Tate, Marshawn Lynch, and Sidney Rice all had a huge year and helped the young quarterback make the name for himself that he did. This year, eyes just might be on offensive player Zach Miller to have a breakout season of his own. The Seahawks will be looking to improve their passing game, and if Miller and Wilson get on the same page they might be able to do so. At age 27, Miller has only missed three games in his career. He has not been a prominent figure in the past, but is looking to change that this year.
On the defensive side of the game, defensive tackle Jesse Williams is a rookie from Alabama that the Seahawks are looking at to fill some voids. Unexpectedly falling to being drafted in the fifth round, the Seahawks grabbed Williams because of his size, determination, and downright toughness. These skills and abilities are what the Seahawks are looking for in their defense, but they have to be careful because of his knee injury last season. Williams will either end up being a great asset to the hawks, or just another injured player on the sideline.
Because the Seahawks are so stacked in their offense, it is difficult for any average player on the team to achieve a starting position. Receiver Chris Harper may not get that starting spot next to guys like Percy Harvin and Golden Tate, so he will have to find a way to make an impact on special teams. The 6’1’’ player does not look like he has the ability to return, but his speed and lower body strength allow him to be dangerous with the ball under his arm. Nonetheless, training camp will be a battle between receivers to get that nod to start in 2013.
