Seal Software Bolsters Strength in Legal Services, Pharma and Healthcare Sectors With Key Appointments
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) August 23, 2018 -- Seal Software, the de facto leader in contract discovery and analytics, today announced the appointment of two new executives to help the company drive continued momentum. Julian Tsisin, a well-known and respected authority on legal operations, joins the company from Google in the new role of Vice President, Legal Markets, Office of the CTO. Dave Pasirstein, a veteran of the pharmaceutical industry, comes on board after nearly 20 years at Merck to fill the role of Vice President, Pharma, Life Sciences and Healthcare. Both executives are charged with defining industry solutions, go-to-market strategies and execution in significant vertical segments for Seal’s artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
“We are delighted to welcome these two outstanding and seasoned professionals to Seal,” said Kevin Gidney, co-founder and CTO of Seal Software. “They bring a unique combination of technical skills and industry expertise that will be invaluable to the Seal leadership team, as well as to our customers, as we continue to drive value for our customers.”
Seal has a significant presence in the legal services sector, as well as pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, both of which have been at the vanguard of contract analytics adoption. In addition to implementations for common use cases such as procurement and for regulations such as the GDPR, many of Seal’s pharmaceutical and healthcare customers are using the Seal platform to extract value out of industry-specific agreements such as joint venture contracts, and for complex due diligence in M&A transactions.
Legal services organizations have long used Seal for corporate transactional and compliance matters including customized clause extraction, M&A support, non-standard clause detection, and to improve the delivery time of high-volume contact reviews so they can take on additional projects and convert them to long-standing contract management relationships.
Julian Tsisin
Vice President, Legal Markets, Office of the CTO
Julian Tsisin, a regular presenter at industry conferences such as the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC) and ILTACON, previously served in leadership roles at Google where, among other duties, he was responsible for designing and implementing successful contract analytics projects within the legal operations function. His prior positions have included legal technology partner at The Walt Disney Company, and legal analyst at the global law firm Davis Polk.
Tsisin’s responsibilities at Seal include shaping the strategy for Seal’s legal technology solutions, and working closely with executives to define the next generation of Seal’s platform and offerings. Tsisin is both a computer engineer and a qualified lawyer.
“I have seen first-hand the speed of technological change in law firms and in-house legal departments, and the benefits gained by implementing AI techniques for contract analysis. I am delighted to join the market leader in contract analytics at this pivotal time in the industry, and I look forward to contributing to Seal’s continued growth,” said Tsisin.
Dave Pasirstein
Vice President, Pharma, Life Sciences and Healthcare
Pasirstein comes to Seal from Merck where he most recently served as the worldwide leader for Horizon 3, a Merck initiative focused on harnessing disruptive technologies including AI and blockchain. His other roles have included director for the digital products and solutions group within the Global Innovation Center at Merck, and director overseeing business and solutions architecture.
Pasirstein will continue to refine Seal’s solutions in the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets, including leading the practical application of Seal’s AI technology to a variety of critical unstructured content such as protocols and clinical trials information.
“I am excited to join Seal as we look to solidify our position as the leading contract analytics solution for the life sciences and healthcare markets. I’m even more excited about the possibility of applying Seal’s AI capabilities across an even greater range of use cases within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries,” said Pasirstein.
