African American Owned Spotswood Consulting Awarded U.S. Navy, SeaPort-e Prime Contract
(PRWEB) April 08, 2015 -- The U.S. Navy awarded African American owned Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) leader Spotswood Consulting, a new spot as Prime Contractor on the Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (ID/IQ) SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) acquisition program for services procurements program. Spotswood Consulting is a leading Small Business, SBA 8(a) Certified firm. The awarded Small Business 8(a) Prime Contract holders are able to compete for over 1,100 task orders and service requirements with a combined value of over $24 Billion over the next five years solicited by Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), Military Sealift Command (MSC), Naval Facilities Command (NAVFAC), Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Office of Naval Research (ONR) and the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC). The government estimates a maximum of $5.3 billion of services will be procured each year via orders issued under the SeaPort-e contracts.
Among the 22 functional service areas within the scope of the contracts awarded to Spotswood are the following:
