John’s unique experience in program management, procurement and R&D will help businesses and government implement our solutions strategically yet within their business and technical framework.
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (PRWEB) September 27, 2018
ShadowDragon, LLC, a leading provider of digital tools for threat intelligence gathering and investigations on the open, deep and dark web, is pleased to announce and welcome John Weathersby as Director of Business Development and Sales. Weathersby will be responsible for increasing global business relationships and sales in public and private sector markets for ShadowDragon and its sister cyber security service provider, Packet Ninjas.
Weathersby joins ShadowDragon and Packet Ninjas with more than 20 years of experience in business development, marketing and program management of advanced technologies within federal government and commercial sectors.
Prior to joining ShadowDragon, Weathersby served as the executive director of the joint Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security-sponsored Open Technology Center of Excellence at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center. Weathersby also served as the founder and executive director of the Open Source Software Institute, a Washington, DC-based nonprofit organization established to help facilitate early adoption of open source software within US federal enterprise systems.
“The Internet provides global information at our fingertips,” said Weathersby. “But it also provides criminals access and opportunity to disrupt, manipulate, steal and destroy while hiding behind the anonymity that the web allows. ShadowDragon provides digital investigative tools that enable governments, law enforcement and businesses to identify and track bad guys who operate through obscured identities on the open, deep and dark web.
“Unfortunately, technology insertion worries as well as cumbersome procurement requirements can be tricky for large organizations to overcome, often handicapping their ability to implement new and incredibly effective solutions. I am excited to use my 20 years of experience to help organizations navigate these issues and successfully put Shadow Dragon’s innovative investigation tools in their hands.”
“We are thrilled to have John join our team,” said Daniel Clemens Founder and CEO of both ShadowDragon and Packet Ninjas. “John’s unique experience in program management, procurement and R&D will help businesses and government implement our solutions strategically yet within their business and technical framework. This collaboration is critical in helping client’s meet and exceed expected results, whether in security planning, incident response, criminal investigations, or training programs. We are on a 10 year plan, and John will be pivotal to the larger and long term success as our portfolio of capabilities continues to grow.”
ShadowDragon develops digital tools that simplify the complexities of modern investigations that involve multiple online environments and technologies. Developed by seasoned cyber investigators, these solutions strengthen the capabilities of in house teams by enabling the easy and safe collection, correlation and verification of diverse artifacts on the open, closed and deep web.
ShadowDragon solutions are used globally by U.S-based and international law enforcement, government, military and intelligence organizations, and Fortune 50 companies.
