Seattle, WA (PRWEB) December 17, 2013

A Seattle drug detox center is launching a new program aimed at helping people end their dependency upon drugs like cocaine, heroin and prescription drugs through Medical Drug Detox Center.

According to a report from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, of the estimated 2.9 million persons aged 12 or older in 2012 who used illicit drugs for the first time within the past 12 months, a majority reported that their first drug was marijuana (65.6 percent) (Figure 5.1). More than 1 in 4 initiated with nonmedical use of psychotherapeutics (26.0 percent, including 17.0 percent with pain relievers, 4.1 percent with tranquilizers, 3.6 percent with stimulants, and 1.3 percent with sedatives). A notable proportion reported inhalants (6.3 percent) as their first illicit drug, and a small proportion used hallucinogens (2.0 percent). All of the above 2012 percentages of first illicit drug use were similar to the corresponding percentages in 2011.

Drug detox is an opportunity to cleanse a physical body from addiction to heroin, methamphetamine, morphine, prescription drugs, and alcoholism.

Assessments are made upon each person that seeks detox help. This is a chance to sit down with a professional and look honestly at a person's relationship to alcohol and drugs. Because our goal is to help those experiencing problems with alcohol or drugs, we strive to make each evaluation fair and comprehensive.

Seattle has a noteworthy musical history. Seattle is also famous for its hip-hop artists, such as rappers Sir Mix-a-Lot, Blue Scholars, and Macklemore.
