Michael Vincent Dlask weaves rhythm and rhyme, poetry and prose in his latest book sharing “Secrets of the Heart” (published by iUniverse). First published in May of 2011, this poem collection is set for a new marketing campaign.
“Secrets of the Heart” is Dlask’s second poem anthology that expresses the challenges of everyday life that he has faced. Sometimes he disappeared into the background and felt as though his existence was being ignored by everyone. Every heartwarming piece strives to help people understand that even though everyday life might be hidden, it is never forgotten.
“Believe in yourself and learn to trust your inner-self. Remember, the heart is the key to complete and total happiness. Fill it with love instead of regret, peace instead of hatred, and truth instead of constant lies. No matter what, just be yourself,” the author reminds readers.
Dlask’s poetry symbolizes the realism and hardship that many people try to hide from others each and every day. The messages of these poems provide a better, more nuanced perspective on the life every person lives through.
A snippet from “Secrets of the Heart” reads:
Believing in yourself may be the only way you’ll ever succeed;
So reach high in the sky and exceed your expectations.
