Security Compass Named to the 2019 List of Best Workplaces™ for Women
Company's 'Women in Tech' podcast highlights commitment to closing the gender gap in cybersecurity.
TORONTO, March 27, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Security Compass, a software security company that provides organizations with the knowledge, training, and technology to make software secure, is proud to announce that they have been named to the 2019 list of Best Workplaces™ for Women. Security Compass received this honor after a thorough and independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work®, which is based on direct feedback from employees of the hundreds of organizations surveyed. The company was recognized today during the WE EMPOWER program of The European Union, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, and the International Labour Organization.
Security Compass is highly committed to closing the gender gap in cybersecurity and makes a deliberate effort to enhance universal acceptance in the recruitment process and the workplace. Their recruitment processes have been revamped to remove bias and ensure that women do not self-select out of the process. Their 'Women in Tech' podcast highlights various interviews with the women of the company to learn more about their unique experiences in the world of technology.
"We are honored to be named to the 2019 List of Best Workplaces™ for Women and take pride in our ability to promote a sense of fairness in our day-to-day operations," said Security Compass CEO, Nish Bhalla. "We recognize the shortage of women in the cybersecurity field and are seeking to motivate more women to have a contribution in the industry in a welcoming environment."
To be eligible for this list, organizations must have been Great Place to Work Certified™ in the past year, have a minimum of 15 female employees, have at least 90% of employees who agree that their workplace is safe, and that people are treated fairly regardless of gender. Certification is determined by the overall Trust Index score from female respondents, as well as Security Compass's programs and practices that promote the fair treatment and advancement of women.
Security Compass places high value in offering employees opportunities for growth, and they strongly encourage them to nurture their careers and personal lives. The organization ensures that employees are given the flexibility to design their own schedules and working hours so that they can healthily balance their personal lives with their work lives. To add, one of Security Compass's founding principles is Universal Acceptance. No matter the employee's race, gender, or sexual orientation, management makes a deliberate effort to live by this philosophy in their office environment, and they actively support different incentives to support a range of groups, communities, and causes.
